🍉The Good Cheap Eats Gazette - July 25, 2026

Hey, hi, happy weekend!

Did you know that this year marks 20 years since I started blogging? At first it was a family blog that morphed into Life as Mom.

20 years?! That's wild. At the start, blogging was this thing that some people were excited about and some people thought was ridiculous.

I don't think anyone knew what self-publishing and social media would do. Or that things like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok would ever even exist. Or that newspapers and Blockbuster would go the way of the dinosaur.

I'd studied writing and publishing since junior high, more as a hobby than a career choice, but I'm pretty thrilled that the two became one. And I have you to thank for it!

Many of you reading this have been readers from the start. Can you believe it's been 20 years?! That's so wild.

Anyhow, THANK YOU.

I appreciate all your support. Thanks so much.

You've heard it before: If only I did meal planning, I could save money on groceries. Well, my friend, I hate to say it, but that's a lie. A myth! A falsehood! Yep. Here's how I know.
